C Bar Ranch, Saturday, March 21st, 2009

This ride will be held at the C Bar Ranch in Valley Mills, Texas.  The C Bar Stables trails can best be described as enchanting. It is one of the most beautiful ranches Texas has to offer. Kept in a ranching family for three generations, it hosts fabulous 400 year old live oaks that canopy the camping area . The dining hall is funky, in a South Austin flavor with a fireplace to warm yourself by. Bring your guitar and harmonica as the ranch has an outdoor fire pit for Friday evening cowboy crooning. But the best part is yet to come! The Trail has a large canyon to view and explore, many species of large trees and unusual rock formations, streams and ponds , with trails that wind through trees and open onto beautiful vistas. We a very excited about showing y'all this beautiful ranch. The terrain is varied from sandy loam to grassy plains  with some steep and rocky terrain . Be prepared for some real trail riding. Shoes on your horse are strongly suggested if they are not used to rocky terrain.

The ranch also offers a few indoor stalls and outdoor pens for rent.  Call Martha at (254) 749-6962 at C Bar Stables if you would like to rent one.  There are 17 electrical hook ups available.  Please contact Karen at (512)554-8683 or kvangetson@austin.rr.com to reserve your hook-up.  There is also a brand new motel close by.  The Ranch is  centrally located about 15 miles west of Waco in the quaint town of Valley Mills. We hope you all will enjoy this ranch as we think it is one of  the great riding trails of Texas..
